I had a warrant for a CGH medical bill. I missed a court date that I didn’t get in the mail or anything. I think I got my next court date on some RRCA card and lost it or forgot it about it once, out of the 30 times I had been to court to pay the petty amount I owed. I paid my warrant fee and my amount owed that month to CGH to not sit in jail over a MEDICAL BILL until my next court date. So a week later I’m driving and get stopped for California rolling through a stop sign in Dixon. They tell me I have a warrant and need to take me in. Luckily I’m a person of saving documents and told them they were crazy I didn't have a warrant I just paid my fines and bill and was let out of the holding cell for my warrant. They officer did not believe me he thought I was lying. I made him call over to Morrison Courthouse and verify I did not have a warrant that was showing in the computer system still. Luckily it was on a weekday during office hours at the courthouse and the officer about 25 minutes later verified I indeed did not have a warrant. Morrison Courthouse just didn’t/ forgot to update the system. If it weren’t for it being a weekday during office hours, I would have been sitting in jail for something I didn’t need to sit in jail over. Morrison Courthouse is a joke. Whoever didn’t take the warrant out of the system on me deserves to be fired. The office said he’s been a cop for 25 years and has never seen that happen before and was shocked he was letting me go due to a mistake on their part.
