Their online payment service for a ticket was down for SEVERAL months. Every time I tried to go on, it would give me an error. Now I check the tool to find the record for the case, and see they've suspended my license. HOW ARE YOU GOING TO SUSPEND A LICENSE WHEN YOU DON'T LET SOMEONE PAY? The first system worked fine. Then they changed over to a payment system that COULD NOT LOAD ANYTHING. I can't tell if they changed again or if it's the same bad one that had issues. But I'm beyond frustrated. I'm calling first thing in the morning and demand they remove the additional fees they want to add on, and I'll come in person to pay it. This is unacceptable. I should not be punished when I was trying to make payments, and the payment system just doesn't work. And I was living in Tampa so coming down to Sarasota WASN'T FEASIBLE. Whoever decided to use that payment processing site system needs to reconsider their career choices. Also, Sarasota, if one system works fine, don't change it! You changed it and then you broke it. EDIT: The team was really helpful in resolving this situation.
DO NOT ever mail a payment to them. Easy to just claim they never got it then send your citation to collections without ever notifying you. PURE EXTORTION. A 10.00 traffic fine went to 170.00 traffic fine from collections because they cannot mange their MAIL obviously! Nothing else to say but Extortion, do not mail your payments to them!!!!!
While wait times on the phone can be somewhat long (as is the case with just about everything right now), someone always does pick up and I've never had any issues- staff is always very pleasant and professional.
Really good policemen at the clerk of city's court 🌟 they gave me a direct line to courts office, because the number from their website doesn't go to the office.
Horrible place. Incompetent, irresponsible people. And it is quite impossible to contact anyone for help. Bad news.
