About visiting the probate court

Need help with probate in Indiana?
I went to the courthouse to pick up a marriage license after having an online appointment with the county clerk. The clerk and the clerks office were polite, helpful, and professional. The officer working the front desk/metal detector was extremely rude, condescending, and unprofessional. I only needed directions for how to find the correct office as I had never been in the building before. I feel very disappointed that my tax dollars are employing such a rude and unprofessional officer at the front desk. This is the first face that anyone who enters the courthouse sees and leaves a very poor impression of our county's officers.
Called my wife about her situation only to make fun of her for pronouncing a word wrong. Rude, monotone, no communication between client and court, refuse calls, and most importantly they remind you that you missed a due date 1 MONTH afterwards, not the day after.
The people that work here are very kind and helpful, just make sure you check your purse for mace or handguns before you enter the building, I actually forgot I had my gun in my purse and put it through the scanner! Luckily I had my gun permit, if I didn’t I would of been arrested! Ik, I’m a idiot, but they say it happens more than you think, so check first.
I love the Court House...Everyone was great and friendly. I highly recommend Attorney Grant Kirsh for any and all Adoption cases
The staff at the courthouse is very easy to work with and helpful. I was there to file a small claims case and they lady could not have been nicer. They were pretty busy with Marriage Licenses but everyone was greeted and made to feel comfortable. Good to know our taxes are going to people that "get it".....
