I went to small claims court on August 11,2020 and the defendant didn’t show up and all the judge could say is there’s nothing we can do since we don’t know if defendant received papers. What??? The way I see it is he failed to appear my claim should be mines period! If things don’t get handled properly I will have them investigated!!
I went here last week to vote. The two ladies who were in charge of the ballots and IDs were pretty decent except the older gentleman in the room. He made me feel like I was a nuisance. I kindly asked if I was supposed to wipe down the table (Covid 19 measure) after I was finished and he replied really loudly “No, that’s MY JOB!” I was embarrassed and humiliated, I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Just rude.
Not sure what to say considering they never call back or update people in their cases.
If you can ever get a real live person to talk to then you usually find them to be generally helpful.
This court system is terrible at responding and addressing the needs of the cases at hand. Cases are easily dismissed without cases being solved. Seems as if its only about money. Being ordered to pay. No justice at this justice center. They only want to discuss court fees, tickets, and jail time. Anything negative and anything that will make them money. Victims suffer. Welcome to the world today. Your Federal system. This State system. Rigged and not right.
