Smack in the middle of town this historic building is a beautiful center piece for the town of Mason.
The Mason county courthouse stands in the middle of the most perfect town square in all of Texas, in my humble opinion. The place is alive, not just with official business, but life itself. People are shopping for clothes, tractor parts, haircuts, even the theater plays its part at timely intervals. And if you’re late, the clock on the courthouse will remind you every half hour that maybe you need to slow down just a little and enjoy being where you are. Mason TX, it doesn’t get much better than this.
