About visiting the probate court

Who to speak with when visiting the Medina County probate court

Upon visiting the Medina County Common Pleas Court, look for signs or directions to the probate division within the main courthouse. Once you’ve located the probate division, make your way to any reception desks and ask to speak with a probate clerk or probate judge. The probate clerk at Medina County Common Pleas Court may or may not require appointments based upon the busyness of the probate court, so it’s a great idea to call ahead.

Plan ahead to be early in case available parking is limited and be prepared for formal security measures upon entering the building, as courthouses are official state and federal property. This generally includes passing through metal detectors and allowing search of any belongings.

Many courthouses do not allow cell phones, so keep that in mind as your phone may need to be turned off upon entering the courthouse, or even left outside.

Corrupted!. They DO NOT protect older women or good law abiding citizens from criminals, bullies and thugs who they have in a program in their basement to hide and seal criminals records while the criminal is going out stalking women! Pathetic and disgraceful to this community! The republicans judges here are really RINO'S and DO NOT care about good people in this community be attacked by criminals! NEGATIVE 10 STARS!

I have been repeatedly trying to get one person there that can answer a question about why the girlfriend is still sitting in county after her sentencing was two weeks ago. They put her sentence on hold with no real explanation. I get transferred ad nauseum (not our department, you need this other department, please hold). Ultimately always end up on someones voicemail, and they never return the call. Incredibly frustrating.

This is by far the poorest excuse of a courthouse in the entire state. The workers are rude, it takes forever to get your court date, and the judges/magistrates love being inconsiderate and dragging out your case as long as possible. (For the money, maybe?) No matter the crime, the prosecutor just wants to see you suffer and get the harshest punishment possible, even for something little. Do yourselves a favor and don't commit crimes in Medina County. If you get caught you'll end up here and be begging for the death sentence, even if it was merely a speeding ticket. If I could rate this courthouse 0 stars I would. In fact, I would rate it less than 0 stars. Our justice system is clearly gone to hell if this is what the common person has to deal with.

Worst court system in the WORLD... A basic court case has been going on for almost TWO YEARS... go to another county, or hopefully the Bar Association will investigate the court system in this county. This is criminal behavior, causing financial harm to all parties involved.
