Need help with probate in Ohio?
So driving on the turnpike from Chicago, got pulled over. I was going 74 in the right lane. Radar detector fully operational. Get pulled over by a cop i saw sitting there facing opposite direction about a mile back. Nothing registered at all on the radar. He asks me how fast I was going, I said I was going with the flow of traffic. True statement. He said I was going “like 88 or 89”, which is untrue. I explained that I was not speeding, my detector had not gone off, could he give me a warning. He said if my record came back clean then yes. Wait 20 minutes. He comes back with a radar gun showing 89 and a citation. Also the trooper takes it in a reverse race direction but I wasn’t going to go there (he referred to the fact I was driving a white car - I’m white - where if I was driving a black car, he would have let me go - he’s black). You take that how you will. Anyway I called to find out how much I had to pay since he knows full well I’m not going to drive back from Chicago to fight it, even though I wanted to badly. They tell me $150. I send in the check for $150 with my silent protest of I WAS NOT SPEEDING in the memo. And wouldn’t you know I get a second letter saying I owe another $25 now. Just imagine what my memo will say now. Be careful driving through this horrible corrupt area, especially if you’re from out of state. And I say that living in Chicago. We know corruption. Suck on it portage county jags.
