Reviews of the Rockwall County Court At Law # 1
Very nice courthouse and very nice people working there. The process of serving on a jury is very simple and easy to get through. I found all the officers and court employeed to be very friendly and personable. Even the officers at the entrance we're friendly and curious about our jury service. The building is just beautiful and it has a very nice and respectful memorial for the Rockwall Country veterans. I've attached a video looking out over the memorial from the third floor. Very cool.
I randomly decided to search to see if this place even had a Yelp because I was in there to get a passport the other day. I'm sad to see that it's low rated which I think is mostly because so many people are coming here for bad reasons. My visit was very quick and efficient. I had made an appointment to get my passport as it is required. I arrived 15 minutes early and the gentlemen was just finishing up with his last appointment. He offered a friendly greeting as well as let me know what to do to get started to make the process faster. It was very efficient and I was out of there in about 15 minutes, which included getting copies of my birth certificate and a picture taken! Payment was easy and was exactly what I expected after my phone call. If you need your passport I strongly recommend getting it here.
I came in today for my daughter’s birth certificate and upon walking in, their system was down. Then it was back up. I was the first to walk in regarding birth certificates. I had a one year old in my hand and needed to pick up my oldest from school so I was on a time limit. I saw a total of six ladies in the office. One was helping a couple with their marriage license chit chatting about bachelor/bachelorette parties, the second lady I saw was sitting behind another lady watching her on the computer chit-chatting. The other three couldn’t help me because they were in “Probate” or “Civil”. After 30 minutes of waiting, a lady comes in and they help her immediately. Needless to say, I packed up and left and got a “sorry about that.” Hopefully I can retrieve the birth certificate online.
Most beautiful courthouse in Texas. You can see it clearly from I-30 and it's makes the whole county look good.
