About visiting the probate court

About visiting the Sacramento County Probate Court

The term probate court is a common term loosely referring to the probate division located within a state or county courthouse. In the state of California, the Superior Court is the level of court responsible for overseeing matters related to probate court.

Sacramento County Probate Court is listed as a registered probate court within Sacramento County, California.

In most instances within California, there is at least one Superior Court courthouse location within each county. Sometimes a county may have multiple courthouses and may also have multiple probate court locations. Such is often the case in larger metropolis counties where population is dense or also in spread-out, rural counties, which may use a courthouse annex or satellite office system to accommodate nearby citizens with easier access in proximity or distance.

About visiting the probate court

Who to speak with when visiting the Sacramento County probate court

Upon visiting the Sacramento County Probate Court, look for signs or directions to the probate division within the main courthouse. Once you’ve located the probate division, make your way to any reception desks and ask to speak with a probate clerk or probate judge. The probate clerk at Sacramento County Probate Court may or may not require appointments based upon the busyness of the probate court, so it’s a great idea to call ahead.

Plan ahead to be early in case available parking is limited and be prepared for formal security measures upon entering the building, as courthouses are official state and federal property. This generally includes passing through metal detectors and allowing search of any belongings.

Many courthouses do not allow cell phones, so keep that in mind as your phone may need to be turned off upon entering the courthouse, or even left outside.

Is it just me or does it seem like every employee is having a bad day...everyday? Every time I walk through that door I'm greeted with some attitude. Simply no compassion for anyone whatsoever as well. I'll gladly give them a free class for the whole building on basic customer service skills that they teach at McDonald's or Goodwill. I'm sure the next time I arrive in that building it will be a grand old time. And to you fellow employees that work there...chill out...its not that bad.

We all need to unite and help stop cps corruption. They lie. (Social workers) Oh boy do they perjure themselves on their own documents they type up.... They have “babies for sale” which they call foster care is disgusting. The foster families don’t go through drug testing and background checks and when cps gets called on the foster families/agencies, they don’t get investigated it gets swept under the rug. I feel that it is because cps has a budget of 56 billion for Sacramento county and I do not know if that is annually.. but it is “easier to rip away happy unhurt babies and children from their loving parents arms” (especially newborns at the hospital) than to actually investigate kids in real danger and go out and search for them. they have more than enough funding to push out a new strong campaign to ask the public and especially teachers and neighbors and anyone report any suspicions of child abuse, neglect, starvation and especially sexual abuse which is a lot more common than anyone thinks. Cps is the breeding grounds for child sexual trafficking.. I am not making any of this up it’s all out there with real statistics and articles written by respected writers that have done a ton of research..hopefully one day something gets done about all of this corruption.... Until then the world will keep spinning and keep the low- low and the rich-untouched. #followthemoney #organizedcrimefundedbygovernment

Employee, older woman, was rude cold and detached. She had 30 pages to time- stamp. She coldly informed me that I had missed filling in a part of one very short (1 page) form. She could have easily allowed me to fill in my name on that one form while she stamping the other pages. She instead, angrily gathered the whole stack of papers and slammed them down then with a sigh of utter disgust, she rudely insisted that I go to the back of the line get a new number and start all over again. This is after waiting 2 hours! I've worked as a customer service rep for years and there is a certain way we have been taught to deal with customers, -- it's called "being polite"!!!

It is very sad when you have a system in place to protect and serve children and the elderly from harm, abuse, neglect whether emotional or financial it is not ever acceptable. For instance when you have concerns of abuse and or neglect and you pay the game and call to make reports then present it to the court hoping they will do their job and step in but then they dont what are you suppose to do? The system is completely broken!! Family members are limited to do anything other than call and keep "good notes" what a joke!! Then the system (APS, CPS, Courts) receive info but then claim to investigate but not find anything. Seriously have they not heard of manipulation Or maybe people really do lie to their face? Are they that naive? Or maybe just uneducated? Seriously if they are understaffed they can reach out to colleges and request some interns that actually want to work in the field of helping others. To many innocent lives are lost in this system that does nothing!! Court appointed attorneys work with the judges it seems to get brownie points instead of doing their jobs of protecting their clients. Unethical, unprofessional, and negligent!! The "self-help" is really what it says. Do not expect to get anywhere, do not expect to get correct guidance or direction, do not expect empathy.
