Reviews of the Christian County Circuit Clerk
Our business had a chargeback from one of the assistant prosecutors from this court, Mr.Bross After informing him of our decision (as he should of expected) to take him to small claims court, we received a call from Mr.Bross in a threatening tone demanding information he is not privy to, and stating "Did you know i'm a lawyer??" multiple times, as if this makes him immune from being taken to court for charging items back he's received. The loss on our end is over $1000 and we've filed a complaint against him to the court itself for this threatening call, but haven't heard back. While we hope this is an isolated incident, if K**** Bross is doing this to multiple businesses we hope, and will continue to recommend, Christian Country Circuit Court will hold a proper investigation into their assistant prosecutor. We feel too threatened to take him to small claims court, and will hopefully find answers from Ms.Bleau and Ms.Tuohy (senior prosecutors) who have received the complaint.
Going to court is one thing but God forbid you call the clerk's office. The lady there just talks to you in the rudest tone ever. I called in to ask a question and she was just not nice to talk too. Especially after working in the heat all day this clerk would be the last person you want to communicate with
As a lawyer who has frequently appeared in court in Christian County and has frequently filed documents with the circuit clerk, the Christian county circuit clerk’s office is one of the more efficient, friendlier circuit clerks in the area.
I myself have witnessed judges practicing law from the bench. In case your wondering , it's illegal for a sitting judge to practice law from the bench.
I received a ticket back in June. I live in Springfield and work in Branson. I called REPEATEDLY to pay and was told NUMEROUS times that it wasnt in the system to call back next week. Now I have to go to traffic court and pay extra fines. This feels like a scam!!! I am a single father of 2 and have my kids 4 sometimes 5 days a week and work full time. I dont understand why they would tell me to call next week, when the lady I spoke with today said that I would have never been able to pay my ticket over the phone anyways. Why am I getting conflicting stories??
