Reviews of the Tompkins County Clerk
Extremely disappointed that the county clerk recommended that I call the county legislatures individually to resolve the issue of an obviously fouled and tattered and despicable display of our American colors at the county library building . I also note that both flagpoles are of the same height however some other countries flag not only was brand new but was on equal height with our national colors. I could be wrong but as a former Marine I'm pretty sure Federal statutes mandate a different response from those who have been sworn to uphold and DEFEND the Constitution . I have to add I was pleasantly surprised and impressed that after only calling the mayor the county clerk and a couple other names I know on the right list! The library personnel themselves turned out to be the true heroes who caused the colors to be replaced and whatever that other flag was sat at a more proper level as it related to our colors. I also have to thank profusely the fella on the roof who apparently understood the code and refused my offer of a free wine tour to show my gratitude, his response was this is my job glad to do it. I can't neglect to mention my first contact at the library was with security my last contact was with security. Somewhere in the middle what needed to get done and got done and I didn't go to jail for climb in the building! Thank you again Tompkins county public library, I hope that this proves to be an example to the rest of the county!
Wow it is so easy working with the County Clerk's website, its amazing what a clerk who is technologically advanced can do with a bunch of records, thank you Maureen !!! Say hi to Kelly for me.
These people have always been polite and helpful when I'm filing paperwork. They always offer advice as far as they are able.
