About visiting the Cook County Court Probate Judge

About visiting the probate court

Who to speak with when visiting the Cook County probate court

Upon visiting the Cook County Court Probate Judge, look for signs or directions to the probate division within the main courthouse. Once you’ve located the probate division, make your way to any reception desks and ask to speak with a probate clerk or probate judge. The probate clerk at Cook County Court Probate Judge may or may not require appointments based upon the busyness of the probate court, so it’s a great idea to call ahead.

Plan ahead to be early in case available parking is limited and be prepared for formal security measures upon entering the building, as courthouses are official state and federal property. This generally includes passing through metal detectors and allowing search of any belongings.

Many courthouses do not allow cell phones, so keep that in mind as your phone may need to be turned off upon entering the courthouse, or even left outside.

I'm going to be quick and straight to the point because my story can be very long but I want to give a shorter version for the sake of those with short attention spans. I traveled almost 6 hours to Adele Georgia from my home state and I mean when I tell you I was scared when I pulled up to this courthouse my mind only saw two options pay or stay.Come to find out never judge a building from the outside because truly it's what lays in the inside of the heart of those employees that work there. Everyone was nice from the front desk all the way to the court staff it was a quick and painless process. But what made my Day was a man by the name of Judge may I add your HONOR Chase Daughtrey he treated me like a human and not an inmate ou r criminal he took the time to listen to me instead of form his own conclusion I'm so glad to have met this Judge what ab outstanding person Thank you your Honor Thank you may Gods blessing and peace cover your entire life forever . THANKS

Paid ticket online. And they still had my license suspended! Such an inconvenience for me as a full time driver. I received No notifications whatsoever in the mail or on the phone. So irresponsible of such a high standing operation. People have to depend on these unfair systems. And tbh I wasn’t even Speeding.

If this county weren't able to patrol i75, they would go broke bc that is clearly their main source of income. All they do is pull people over for petty infractions, trump up the citation and don't even write the ticket so you can read it. This is one of their tactics by the way, it's a known fact that they write so lightly on the top copy that the carbon copy you get doesn't have anything on it. Then when you try to call the probate court no one picks up. What a joke this county is. I feel bad for it's residence. It's things like this that need to be handled, govt has to much power.

Money hungry.. I’m over 10 hrs away from cook county and no one wants to help. It’s either I pay 340 or get a warrant/suspended license. So many reasons why I can’t pay the ticket in full and so many reason why I can’t make the court date but that doesn’t stop them from repeating well you need to just pay the ticket or come to court.. not to mention the court date is today but I received notice of court date on Friday 3 days ago.. didn’t give me enough time to call or fix this situation.. my wife is active duty on deployment, I take care of our 2 boys and live hrs away from cook county ga but no one can help.. the worst thing you can ever do is get any ticket in the state of Georgia... Cop pulled me over for speeding. He said I was doing 93 mph but I knew I was doing 80 mph as I had been driving the same speed for hours. When I got home a few hours later, I pulled out the ticket and that's when I noticed that he had written 97 mph SMH that's almost 100 mph!! That speed would've taken me to jail right? Now my ticket is for $530 and there's no payment plan but its okay because there's a God who sees everything.
