I visited the DMV first thing in the morning. Every time I've called or interacted with the staff, they have been extremely helpful and kind. This is the best experience I've had with government employees! Your best bet is to get in early and come prepared with the right forms - in and out in about 15 min.
We were warned that DC small claims almost always sides with the the tenant, but since we had evidence that our tenant broke lease 4 months early & did numerous damages we went ahead. Magistrate said tenant didn’t have to pay any of those damage or broken lease. Even didn’t have to pay what tenant admitted to promising to pay-utilities. Magistrate was a joke. Save your time if you’re a landlord.
I’m forced to come here to pick up my tags for my car. I recently had surgery and am higher risk for covid and not ONE person in this building was wearing a mask. Yes, I know it won’t stop covid, but it raises the percent of protection and is literally the least they could do for the public. Zero effort toward public health saftey.
The worst court ever Los Angeles county way better then this small court. I’ve called multiple times to figure out what I have to do to resolve my issue and they took me on a whirlwind lemme tell you. Wendy still HAS NOT returned my phone it’s now Tuesday I have court tomorrow she said Friday evening she would call back Monday morning I’ve left voicemails and still no call back. Way to go DALLAS!
Trying to find out if I have court and I've been calling since 8 AM this morning and they seem to not want to answer their phone's pretty crappy that you try to find out some information so you don't get in trouble but you can't even get the people at the courthouse to do their job it's 811 and it rang so long they said the person I was trying to call was not answering at this time please try back again later that's pitiful
You shouldn’t have to waste your time becoming a legal expert when someone dies. Affidavits? Executor vs. beneficiary? You just need to know what to do so you can get back to your family.
