Plan ahead to be early in case available parking is limited and be prepared for formal security measures upon entering the building, as courthouses are official state and federal property. This generally includes passing through metal detectors and allowing search of any belongings.
Many courthouses do not allow cell phones, so keep that in mind as your phone may need to be turned off upon entering the courthouse, or even left outside.

Reviews of the Siskiyou County Superior Court
Most folks do not love going to court..... I am one of those people. HOWEVER, truth be told, Commissioner Linville in Dept. #4, his staff and the tall Deputy manning the metal detector where polite, compassionate, genuine and fair. Thank you Gentlemen, I appreciate you and the job(s) you do.
I received a speeding ticket for going 65 in a 55 mph. Going past mt shasta. This happened right when the pandemic began. I am unemployed and can't afford a ticket. after calling and writing to this court. i was to that I need to appear in court. during a stay at home order by both the state of Oregon and the state of California? What is wrong with this? So I wrote them again explaining the hard ship this would cause me. I got no response until today . A collection in the amount of 700 dollars. They should be ashamed of themselves. with the state of the country, they are trying to do this to people. On the site it says not to email because, do to the pandemic they are short on staff and not responding to emails? But want you to come in to court on tues. Again we have stay at home orders? So let's all break the stay at home order and get sick and maybe die just because they are short handed and don't care about anybody but themselves and the money they can make from people that have no money. What is wrong with this? Life or death you tell me?
This place is so awful and it’s full of corrupted people. This place should be shut down or have new staff!
I have tried to pay a bogus citation for months but they never pick up their phone. Sick and corrupt people.
Everyone in that building is doing they're best to be fair and helpful without upsetting the public. Not to mention the stress involved in dealing with people who complain about every single thing down to a phone call without getting upset. I've noticed the more the county gives to the public, the less they appreciate it. That includes schools as well.
