Need help with probate in Arkansas?
I had an order signed by a judge in a name change case that I represented myself. I had the order filed and when I filed it I was asked if I needed a copy and I said no because I thought I would get the original back. Turns out they don't send anything and if you call them to ask any questions they are extremely condescending and disrespectful.
I went for free legal aid today to get advice on amending my divorce decree so I can get full custody of my daughter. The legal aids there were extremely rude and treated me like I was stupid. I came for advice, and they gave me none. Not even the steps to take. I knew I would have to get a lawyer but I needed to know the steps to prepare myself and my daughter.I called yesterday and spoke with a lady who told me to come in and speak with them on the next steps to take. I waited 3 hours.THREE HOURS for a conversation that lasted maybe 5 minutes with them telling me "we are here for legal matters so you can do it yourself, you need an attorney. We cant offer anything here for you". Absolutely disappointed in this court house and their lack of compassion for families trying to fight for their children.
Judge Carren is an awesome judge and the bailiff is very nice. Made jury service much easier.
