Need help with probate in Georgia?
I went to the courthouse to drop off my Marriage License for filing and the gentleman the opened the door asked where I was headed and stated “the Probate office was currently closed for lunch but would reopen at 1 pm and we don’t allow children in the courthouse, that’s a baby under there ain’t it?” I replied yes. So when I ask at 1 when they reopen how am I supposed to give them my paperwork he looked me in my face and said “I don’t know that’s your problem”. I would have sworn I was getting punked in that moment. The security guard who overheard the conversation, walked up and offered me a solution upon return. I can’t believe what y’all allow for customer service out here.
First off, y’all need to be more specific with y’all WCL requirements. Y’all website says “utility bill” or a self addressed envelope but after I stood in a long line, y’all want to tell me that I need a water bill or change my license. Smh. Then when I asked about a electricity bill, y’all still want a water bill so you can tell what “county” I live.... does it matter? My address shows a Morrow residence, so obviously it’s a Clayton County address.... y’all so backwards and slow. No worries, I’ll go to my hometown and get my WCL.
The lines moved pretty quickly and the workers were quite diligent. I didn't have to ask too many questions because the services are delivered to you quickly. Once you tell them why you are there they automatically do each step without asking further questions. There may be a few, but it's them asking you the questions so that they can give you great service with their already polished skills.
Amazing staff! Thank you for going above and beyond in your service. Best wishes.
