Who to speak with when visiting the Preble County probate court
Plan ahead to be early in case available parking is limited and be prepared for formal security measures upon entering the building, as courthouses are official state and federal property. This generally includes passing through metal detectors and allowing search of any belongings.
Many courthouses do not allow cell phones, so keep that in mind as your phone may need to be turned off upon entering the courthouse, or even left outside.

Reviews of the Eaton Municipal Court
Yes, I got a speeding ticket for taking unfamiliar back roads as opposed to the interstates that have hundreds of speed breakers, but I AM paying my ticket. It is EXCESSIVELY condescending to be treated so poorly by this court! I tried to call and press 1. It was called an invalid number multiple times. When I was finally able to connect, I was on hold for 10 minutes before finally hanging up. Perhaps $10 should be subtracted from our fee for every minute we must wait on HOLD! Plus, paying on line had a $12 fee. Nice.
This courthouse in Eating Ohio: the place was clean so that was nice, I went before a very Honorable and fair Judge, I was also lucky enough to have a very kind hearted down to Earth probabtion officer. This was 11 years ago but they treated me like a human being and for that I'm grateful.
Seriously impossible to pay a ticket - I’ve been given the run around numerous times. They don’t offer a way to pay with credit or debit card, as they said they don’t have a machine for that. Nobody is even in the office unless you call and make an appointment. Everyone I spoke with was completely rude, and totally unwilling to help with this process. If you want to have cops who can give tickets, you have to have a way for people to do so. This is crazy! They also said I should put my money in a slot in the door... when I said I wanted a receipt, they said I would have to provide a return envelope for them to send me a receipt. Absolutely RIDICULOUS.
worst service ever. asked for the phone number of the third party that could process the payments by phone (cause I guess they can't be bothered to do it) and they gave me the wrong number. It was for some diet pill. also not happy that I essentially have to pay a fee for a fee because the only option available to me it to pay with a card and they're charging a 7% processing fee. completely dissatisfied with every part of this process. even the officer that pulled me over was unable to provide me with any relevant information about how to cover the ticket. AVOID THIS PART OF OHIO
I called in and they said they dont do defensive driving. Later on i found out i am eligible but couldnt do it because i already paid the fees. Very poor receptionist on the phone
