Hi there! I grew up in a small town in Rhode Island (not a suburb of New York 🙂) and have lived in a few interesting places across the US. Los Angeles CA, Kalamazoo MI, Cleveland OH, and now living near Atlanta, GA.
I was fortunate enough to be on both coasts for my college experience - I attended University of RI for my undergraduate degree in Economics/Accounting and later went to Pepperdine University (Malibu, CA) for my MBA.
Spending 30+ years in the wealth management industry is the world I live in. I am passionate about helping others and the Atticus team is committed to transforming the probate and estate settlement industry. So, when we talked, they had me at “hello”. So, now “It’s Time to Go To Work!” and I am out there discussing our solution to partner with wealth management organizations across the globe.
Growing up, I had MANY interesting hobbies. Besides the usual ones such as collecting baseball cards, stamps, and comic books… I also had a few unique ones. I loved turtles and spent many days going to various ponds throughout RI looking for (and catching) turtles. My sister called me “turtle man” and I would mostly catch painted turtles but hit the jackpot occasionally when I would come across a spotted turtle that was a little harder to find.
In addition, I also loved digging up old bottles. I would find old dumps from the 1800’s and dig up beautiful old bottles with friends. A few of my 1,000 or so vintage bottles are pictured below:
Besides making soup for my meals, I enjoy exercising on a regular basis such as walks/hikes, yoga, pilates, and spinning classes. We have two adult children (a daughter in college) that sometimes hangs out with us. We often play competitive games (especially around the holidays) to see who has earned bragging rights for a while.
On weekends, you can usually catch me listening to some Irish music while hanging out with my wife Judy and dog Sadie (with an older house, there are always projects for me to do— both inside & out)!
